Applying from Abroad
If you are a Dutch citizen living outside the Netherlands, you can apply for or renew your Dutch passport or ID card at most Dutch embassies and consulates-general. Visit the website of the relevant embassy or consulate for specific instructions and application procedures.
Collecting Documents
Collection at the Berlin Embassy
If you are in Berlin, you can collect your new passport or ID card at the embassy from Monday to Friday between 13:30 and 15:00.
General Collection Procedures
When collecting your documents, you will need to bring the following:
- Your old passport or ID card (if applicable)
- A valid form of identification, such as a driver's license or residency card
- The collection slip you received when you applied
